Jen Mascali

I have a new bag crush, and her name is Jen Mascali.

Jen has this amazing line of deconstructed-yet-chic hand crafted bags, and the coolest back story ever to go with then. Jen was inspired at an early age by her great grandfather who, as a leather artisan, handcrafted shoes for actresses, princesses and prominent women of his time. He even created shoes for Grace Kelly’s wedding that can be seen in Philadelphia Museum of Art! How ridiculously awesome is that? Knowing she'd like to carry on her great grandfather's legacy, she moved to Florence after she graduated and began working as the assistant to handbag designer Pauric Sweeney. Jen soon developed the skills she needed to focus her attention to her very own innovative creations, and her line was born!

New wild wearable art from Atelier Minyon. Their 'Six Shooters and Bullets' piece is 24k and oxidized silver, with diamond shooter tips, and bullets sprinkled with diamonds and rubies. A little something that every respectable Texan should own right?:)

...when you drive by a SECOND Crave location in Rice Village. They opened it about a month ago, and now the red velvet yumminess (amongst other tasty flavors) can lure you in anytime you are west of 45. Just cruel Crave. By the way, in order for my week to be complete, I'm going to have to top it off with a black cat cupcake. It just simply must be done.

My goal for next week...

Is to go visit baby Tupelo at the Houston Zoo. This is the second baby in 4 months (his half brother Baylor was the last), which shows that our elephant team has been doing an amazing job. I just can't get enough of litte itty bitty elephants, so keep them coming Houston Zoo!
